A New Era Begins

Edmonton Oilers 2023-24 Season Preview

A New Era Begins

The Edmonton Oilers are entering a new era in 2023-24 with a new head coach and a number of new faces on the roster. After a disappointing end to the 2022-23 season, the Oilers are looking to bounce back and make a run at the Stanley Cup.

New Faces in Edmonton

The Oilers made a number of significant additions to their roster during the offseason, including: * Center Jack Eichel * Winger Evander Kane * Defenseman Mattias Ekholm These players are all expected to play major roles for the Oilers in 2023-24. Eichel is a dynamic playmaker who can create scoring chances for himself and his teammates. Kane is a proven goal scorer who has a knack for finding the back of the net in big moments. Ekholm is a physical defenseman who can play a shutdown role and contribute offensively.

New Coaching Staff

The Oilers also have a new coaching staff in place for 2023-24. New head coach Jay Woodcroft was promoted from within the organization after serving as an assistant coach for the past two seasons. Woodcroft is a well-respected coach who is known for his attention to detail and his ability to get the most out of his players.

Expectations High

The Oilers have high expectations for the 2023-24 season. They have a talented roster and a new coaching staff that is eager to prove itself. If the Oilers can stay healthy and play to their potential, they have a chance to be a contender in the Western Conference.
